ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)

ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. It can progress very quickly.

CBD helps relieve muscle spasms and is an anti-inflammatory and a more powerful antioxidant than vitamin C or E. It has been shown to have beneficial effects on all diseases involving the mitochondrial and basal ganglia portions of the brain and has a neuroprotective effect  that can prolong neuronal cell survival. Other important cannabinoids for ALS sufferers include the anticonvulsant cannabinol *CBN (0.11mg/ml in our CBD 800), anti-inflammatory tethrahydrocannabivarin *THCV (not present in our products), ant-inflammatory and painkilling cannabichormene *CBC (1.08mg/g in our CBD Plus and 2.28mg/ml in our CBD 800) that also promotes brain growth, and pain killing cannbicyclol (CBL).

Medical Marijuana (not currently available in SA due to our laws) has great potential in managing ALS symptoms. It is suggested that you use a 1:1 ratio of CBD:THC.

 Using CBD

We suggest using our CBD 800 and our CBD Plus. 1-3 squirts of CBD Plus during the day, and standard to macro dosages of CBD 800 at night. You should also contact us for more advice and request information on super concentrated CBD options not available on our website.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to dosages, and you will need to monitor the effects. We suggest keeping a diary to do this, since you may need to tweak your dosages. Always start with a micro dosage to check sensitivity.
