Alzheimer's
Alzheimer’s disease results in loss of memory, language and cognitive skills. The disease is strongly connected to the endocannabinoid system. One of the characterising pathological markers of Alzheimer’s disease is the toxic build-up of plaque in the neural tissue and associated inflammation. Cannabinoid based treatments are showing promising results for a number of brain-related disease, since cannabinoids protect against the destruction of neural circuits by neutralising free radicals, reducing inflammation, improving function of mitochondria, clearing of beta amyloid, and clearing of cellular debris. Beyond the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects of cannabinoids, several studies have showed that they also play a role in the growth of neural tissue in the hippocampus, the area of the brain associated with memory. There is great therapeutic value in CBD, whether given alone or with THC.
For Alzheimer’s products that are high in myrcene, like our CBD Plus are a good choice. You would use 1-3 squirts. If you take more than 1 squirt per day, our CBD Plus (pen) is a more economical product An alternative would be 1 squirt of CBD Plus for daytime use and a micro – standard dose of CBD 800 at night.
